I saw this girl wearing this super adorable dress that was strapless, sort of a rusty orange color, had a ruffle on the bust, and was ankle-length in the back and above the knees in the front. I have been google searching without much luck. Anyone know of anything similar? The color is less important than the style,

Oh, I totally know that intellectually. I wouldn't say it is "random" but certainly it is more of a correlation than a direct 100% of the time thing.

I can't speak to the specific Kony 2012 bracelets you are talking about, but I have some Invisible Children bracelets from a few years ago that I know ARE fair trade.

I agree that awareness isn't enough. But I do think this campaign gave the information to a lot of people that is helping them take concrete steps. Which is good.

They couldn't be focusing on the region now if they didn't know there was a problem in the first place. Saying that there are other ways to help is a positive message that might do good in the world, but tearing down people who have been moved by this video is not.

That would have been a much better article. "Here are tangible things you can do to help the situation in Uganda!"
