The prosecution didn't try to argue manslaughter; it was pretty much thrown in by the judge at the end as an afterthought.

8 + 1 for the hour long premiere + 1 for the Halloween special = 10
Well, one could turn around and say the same thing when we make fun of people who enjoy Twilight or Two and a Half Men.
I use Wikipedia.
"Q&A" is a good piece of television, but I've never really gotten all the love for it. Even putting aside the hit and run stuff, the interrogation felt like the show doing what it had been promising to do competently, while leaving behind a sinking feeling of where the show would go from there.
And Vince Gilligan was one of two credited writers on Hancock (not quite a horrible movie but not very good either). Hollywood treats feature writers like shit, and unless they also direct or have a good relationship with a director it's hard to tell much about them from their credits.
Well, four (credited) people got paid to write Green Lantern. So his credit there doesn't necessarily mean much of anything.
Obligatory Farscape reference.
Caprica had an episode taken away from them in the second half of its only season because they were so far over budget.
Dexter?
The article doesn't make a special point of confirming it's the last season, plus there's a link to an article from June 1 where they called it the final season also. So I think they're just assuming the same as everyone else.
Michael Jordan playing baseball = Dan Harmon… doing Harmontown and drinking? Sounds about right to me.
He's also directing it, which gives me a bit more hope (because of his TV directing work).
He hasn't had a screenplay in theaters since 2009's Angels and Demons. So, um, yay?
In other Southland Tales news, here's a long, interesting interview with Richard Kelly about it, including the meaning behind the "pimps don't commit suicide" line and why Sean William Scott touching his double ended the world.
He's also done great directing work on that show and Kings.
Who does the funeral parlor guy think they're talking about then?
They care about nightly ratings as a piece of the total viewers they get, along with HBOGO, DVR, On Demand, etc. I don't think there's a real threat of anyone cancelling because they hate The Newsroom so much that they're willing to forgo other shows that they like, so it comes down to how many subscribers a show is…
@avclub-5f9f536414d688922b8162cca65b9655:disqus Maybe the other series were destroyed when Jesus returned and destroyed most of the videotapes?
Fry and Leela being in their 40s is probably consistent with Futurama's depiction of aging.
