Actually, I think I'd put it at about the level of Office Season 7 (Carrell's last). Maybe a little higher for structural novelty.

No discussion yet about Steve Holt(!)?

I partly agree with this (well, probably not those examples; those were pretty dire and boring respectively).

I'm not sure I'm sold on structuring entire seasons this way (for reasons other than logistical necessity) but I would love to see it used more often for change of pace episodes.

Wait, that was boom mic guy? I thought he looked familiar.

I think this would have been a crushing disappointment if it were aired traditionally. But it was designed to be viewed this way, so I'm not going to hold that against it.

It took me until his second episode to realize that it was supposed to be the same Steve Holt (in show).

Oh, I liked Maeby's arc actually. When I said it was upsetting I mostly meant that as a complement, in that the show could get that kind of reaction out of me. It was just a really dark place to leave her, and I'm not sure how I feel about it yet. At least not as the end, forever, if this ends up being that.

These are pretty much my thoughts.

I think it had consistently been doing a 1.0 in the last half hour. So, if it doesn't get adjusted up, the difference is likely just people not turning their TVs off fast enough from the lead in.

Somehow I doubt you're actually sad to say this.

This was the greatest thing ever.

Better quality than NBC deserves? Probably.

2 > 4 > 1 > 3

Wrong. It didn't feature Andy getting hit by a bus.

A couple things about the last couple episodes that kind of annoyed me.

I think the fourth season works a lot better as a single piece rather than broken in two and aired a year apart. In particular the arc with Brock is fantastic.

I think I had a similar, negative reaction to one of the early episodes. Then I randomly came across something like "The Trial of the Monarch" or the first season finale. It was the sense of a larger mythology and the Guild that made me need to seek out the rest, like right now. God, this show is pitched right at my

SERIAL KILLER FIGHT!!!!!!

More visually than anything else. Looking through the credits on imdb, the writer, director, cinematographer, editor, production designer, art director, set decorator, and costume designer all come from Fringe. So it's keeping a bunch of people employed at least.
