They still have reason to be wary as if you practically have to have Apple or Google in a car to sell it, you become put at a serious disadvantage in negotiating.

He hasn’t been involved with McAfee, Inc. in years. Intel now owns McAfee and is renaming it to Intel Security which is something McAfee is happy about as he says their AV is crap these days.
If you don’t know, why comment? Most major stores do not charge restocking fees. Apple is one of the few places which does restocking fees for everything, though cell phones will sometimes have restocking fees based on carrier, store, and phone (there’s little consistency). You can often argue your way out of…
It’s pretty easy to shop at places which do not charge restocking fees.
I returned an unopened iPad to Target a few weeks ago. They opened it to make sure it was really an iPad in the box. They open all expensive electronics at that store to avoid a box of wood being returned. An open console is not any more of a hassle to return than a sealed one in general. The only issue may be if you…
My parents saved on such problems by having every gift from “Santa” out of the box and assembled instead of in the box and in the wrapping paper. Console assembly today would include all the updating and connecting it to the TV.
What’s the point of the Stig when they have tamed, unmasked race car drivers as hosts? This is one of my problems with Top Gear USA. It’s hard to have as much fun with the Stig with Tanner Foust around, and Tanner always wins every competition which will result in driving some fast car as the reward. I like Tanner,…
All the things you said are right, my I just can't understand why anyone would build this.
But said person probably has almost no assets and will just file bankruptcy to get out of the rest anyway.
Nothing “micro” about these transactions...
Really should blame all the people driving too fast for conditions.
The Denver Post article does a better job explaining the insurance. A third party insurer covers the car while being used to drive people. Enterprise covers it when it is being used for personal use. At $210/week, it’s not a great deal technically, but it is reasonably priced for what it is. Renting a car in Denver…
Couldn’t agree more. I test drove a CLA AMG45 and was immediately amazed at how bad and cheap the interior was by any modern car standard. I think it’s Kia level bad in many places. Its transmission was terrible too.
I like to think I’m serious. ;-)
I highly recommend Squire for all your cheap guitar needs. I got a Squier Bullet Telecaster for $90 from Guitar Center about a year ago. Plays great. Far superior to the Samick I bought in high school for $130 almost 20 years ago. I’m not going to mistake it for a Gibson, but it really plays great for the money and…
Their insurance must be real if they can afford to wallpaper every channel with the ads that don’t bother to tell you what they actually do.
It absolutely could have killed someone, and, unlike GM, they want to do the right thing instead of burying it until it does kill someone and continuing to bury it after it does. Also unlike GM they appear to want a culture that promotes safety, honesty, and doing the right thing or at least to appear that way.
The article states 90,000 Model S cars to be recalled. Also, all things are relative. It is burdensome for any company to recall every car made. It gets even more burdensome when a company, like GM, buries something which is killing people only to have to do the recall later and for even more cars.
This was once the case with regular electrical cords, but now we have things like UL certifications and better building codes which help prevent overloads of standard household current.
AI is what will enable further automation though. It's a huge component.
