Hi ladies, I’m Frak ... Shit.
Hi ladies, I’m Frak ... Shit.
Let me ruin your day:
What is wrong with people today who apparently have never heard of context? It was a different time, with different social norms. You can’t judge all of history through the lens of current society. It’s not only foolish to try, it means you will never understand the past or the present.
I say good sir, in this house we measure distances base to base. The whip antenna attached to yon horse buggy does not a valid point of measurement make, kindly remove the offending piece of I fear we will have to come to fisticuffs.
I couldn’t believe Franco didn’t even thank Sestero! The camera panned to Sestero sitting at his table as Franco thanked Wiseau instead and invited him on stage, completely ignoring the writer of the book that inspired the making of the movie. Ugh. Sestero wrote a great book! HE’s the one who deserved to be thanked…
Never knew people hated him so much, damn.
You’re the embarrassing counterpart to the very people you’re whining about. Bravo, stupid.
People keep bringing up this is a movie about failure to somehow shield it from criticism because it somehow is breaking new ground... but Empire was about failure. In fact I’d say Empire is even more about failure because they actually failed. Han captured, Luke defeated.. you know failure. People died in Last Jedi…
If you have to type that last line, it’s not a great movie
You can’t be a Mary Sue or Gary Stu if you’ve actually earned your status. Luke’s progression from farmboy to Jedi Master was depicted over the course of three movies. He wasn’t just discovered and automatically a Jedi like Rey was.
Problem is the execution of hero’s failing is awful. Poe doesnt care that he thinks his plan, that was not nessisary at all, killed his best friend. None of the failures the characters go thru are given any emotional weight. As a result this movie doesnt make tthe hero’s failures compelling and we are left wonder what…
It’s funny, there was some discussion on one of the articles here about Justice Leagues score and super hero scores in general being boring lately. While not iconic like the John Williams Superman or Elfman Batman score, I think the Avengers main theme is recognizable and still works.
Mother! (Aronofsky directed, Lawrence starred), which the New York Times’ A.O. Scott called “a hoot!” but most critics hated...
“And why is it she still gets an entire office to herself, while herco-workers with years more experience are stuck incubicles?
Oh, I heard ‘Martha boxes’ and assumed the ending was some sort of homage to ‘Se7en’.
Every time someone uses “Deus Ex Machina” wrong, I get the feeling they get their critical perspective from CinemaSins.
I tell people that Man of Steel is still the best Dragonball Z movie ever made.
Confirmed last scene of HoC Prime: Claire walks into a previously-seen but never opened maintenance closet in one of those stark stairwells scattered around the White House and finds Cashew operating levers at a large computer panel while wearing headphones. She falls to her knees, and Cashew jumps down and nuzzles…
I’ve been referring to him as “Peachfuzz McMullet”.
To even suggest that it was a game for both men and women was incredibly progressive compared to his contemporaries.
