The firefight was very bland, but I actually wanna give props to the Rick fight scene. It felt pretty intense to me... very sloppy (in a good way) and brutal. Felt like it came right out of The Last of Us.

I love how Krieger is replying to this. Did you genetically engineer the perfect 80s bully specimen on a bet??? What genomes did you use? I imagine you harnessed the douchiness of Biff from Back to the Future and spliced it with Johnny Lawrence, but where did you get the Mullet gene? Was it from Kurt Russell or Lost…
I don’t think it would be possible to bored in the presence of David Bowie
Now I want to read a Batman issue where one of the Robin’s is trying to convince Batman he’s an old dinosaur, and that he NEEDS to be on social media, have a Facebook, make daily Bat tweets, and so on. “Thank of all the lives that will be saved if people can directly contact you!”
Yeah, it’s not cool at all to assume his twin is just as bad for no reason.
Wheel of Time had such a fantastic ending though
I doubt he’s in a better place. 40 virgins will be waiting for him, and then he’ll complain to God because he’s used to much better treatment.
On the positive side, I suppose it’s a testament to the inspiring influence art, media and popular culture can have, if they are channeled towards celebrating things that deserve to be celebrated. Entertainment doesn’t have to be JUST entertaining: it can be enlightening and inspiring as well
You know who Rick and Morty fans remind me the most of?
Like all quotes on the internet, it’s from The Simpsons (or Abraham Lincoln)
Twitter in general is rife with stark raving idiots
I came here for the exact same reason! I’ve had people I know (outside of the internet, if you can believe that) tell me this show is incredible, the second coming of Breaking Bad. Was curious what the good people of the Av Club thought.
My comment might have been slightly facetious (facetiousness was one of the things that made AV Club articles great!), as many of the articles on AV Club were awesome. But you could bet the comments would pretty much always add to it, and keep me reading far longer than I should. AV Club was definitely more productive…
You’re a hero and a saint, and you may have my firstborn child as a feast if you so desire
They better not abandon that idea. The AV Club comment sections have always been better than the articles themselves, by miles. No one came for the articles, and if they did, it was only to complain about the grade!
I mean, I’m a “fan” of Ramsay Bolton in the sense I find him an entertaining villain. But I wouldn’t have a beer with the guy.
One thing that’s interesting is the actor, and the character for that matter, biggest point of resentment against Littlefinger is selling her to the Boltons. Which, obviously, is completely fair. However, in the books, Littlefinger never sold Sansa to the Boltons. Makes me wonder if Littlefinger will meet the same…
An astoundingly good one. I thought I’d try it last week.
Yeah, I think Rhaegar is also GRRM’s take on the “chosen one” fantasy trope.. The victim of fate who knows he’s the chosen one, and “does what he must” for the good of men everywhere. Think Rand al’Thor from the Wheel of Time, or like you mention, Aragorn. The thing about the Chosen One is they are heroes, but hero’s…
To be serious though, I do think George RR Martin will keep Ghost at Jon’s side. He made an intentional parallel once, about Jon keeping Ghost with him every where he goes, and Robb caging and ignoring his wolf, and dying as a result (Grey Wind kept warning Robb not to go to The Twins). So I think Jon keeping Ghost…
