I get that they should be on Earth a little bit, but to make it where most of the movies take place kind of sucks when you have a fleet of star ships capable of traveling the galaxy as well as alien cultures all over the place. Who cares about Earth? Show San Fran at the beginning for 10-15 minutes and then bam- off…

I'm sure Into Darkness will be cool and fun to watch. I just wish it was more in space and less on Earth. I mean, it's Star Trek, let's go to other worlds, weird anomalies,etc. That's what makes it awesome.
