It does a pretty terrific job of depicting mental illness as well as showing how intense and athletically demanding figure skating is. I second the recommend.

Yes and no. They wrap up enough of the season one plots that the end (which is a cliffy) still feels like one of those “open to interpretation” endings. It ends like they were planning for season two, but not in a way that ending it now really ruins it.
You should hear the audio books with Chewbacca speaking English. It’s really disarming and the guy doing the voice sounds like he’s really struggling the whole time.
While watching the movie I thought the more interesting choice would have been to have Rey die and Kylo/Ben live. That would have spawned another movie at least, having him have to redeem himself by surviving.
As someone who works with doctors I can say 100% that they (and their staff) get frustrated when people leave AMA. You need to participate in your health care. You need to advocate for yourself. You need to be patient when asked to wait as you’re not the only person in the ER having chest pain (and some people will…
There were so many interesting ways they could have gone with this, and they chose to bring back a dead Emperor. JJ should probably be ashamed of himself for mocking the interesting things Rian Johnson set up in TLJ.
Meh. They’re alright. There was no attempt at subtlety when it came to how much Pullman hates the church. I devoured book 1, struggled to get into book 2, put down book 3 not too far in and never picked it back up. He’s not being didactic about C.S. Lewis, who was actually pretty decent at subtlety until The Last…
Slincoln. Cause he slinks.
For me, Cliffhanger ends as soon as the opening titles appear. I’ve only ever seen the first five or ten minutes of that movie and it’s perfect that way.
Seriously. There are how many season of GBBO now? You know, as a contestant going in that you’re going to be asked to make a choux at some point. You’ll make your own puff (so you might just better learn full and rough, because they’ve done both in the same challenge). You’re going to make bread! And savory pies. And…
I would watch however many seasons of Nigella Lawson hosts anything. AT ALL. She could read to me from a phone book. I’d watch it.
This is what happened to me with Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy. I was much too old for it when I read it the first time and simply couldn’t enjoy it with the kind of adoration the fanboys/girls/people heap on it.
I’m with you. The first book was terrific. The second book got wonky real quick. Then the third... I just lost interest and never finished it. It’s the first book I gave myself permission to put down and I’ve never returned to it.
It sounded like all the voice actors had head colds when they recorded this episode.
The Valentine’s Day episodes are also pretty great.
I would watch the hell out of that movie. The soundtrack is composed entirely of Seattle Grunge rock. Janeane Garofalo’s power is to be sarcastic and make flannel look good.
I can’t with his nervous laughter, though. Hopefully he gets some confidence. I was not charmed and I wasn’t convinced that Dan should have been kicked off over Jamie.
I came to write something like this comment, thank you for wording it so much more elegantly than I would have. Having knowledge of your beauty is a reflection of self awareness, not said beauty.
You only punch them if they get into the pit. Then you windmill that baby into submission!
This is why nobody likes fandoms anymore.
