how last night debate should have ended

“Havana” is a genuinely pretty great pop song.

Going by the comments apparently people take this really seriously which . . . okay, but I’m a bit boggled that people go to jail for this compared to all the crimes people don’t go to jail for.

Holy shit, I didn’t think this was getting a season 2.  I'm psyched for this.

Stuffing the fish with extra fillets was pretty smart. I’ve been at tournaments where the fish are x-rayed or scanned with a metal detector to catch cheaters. Checking every fish for extra fillets would be way more work.

What is funny about all this is that it ignores the fact that it’s quite common for people to go into the “family” business. Sure some people have ambition to not do what their parents do but for many it just makes sense to do the same job.

This is an A+ effort to include relevant current events.  Bravo!

I am pretty sure these guys were on the cheating radar before this tourney too, if I remember correctly. They had won a few other tournaments and people were getting suspicious. 

Thankfully they can bribe their local politicians to get their records cleaned up and not worry about that being a crime anymore. Just make sure you deliver your bribe after your politician cleans up your record and not before... because it’s a gratuity for great political service, not a bribe - duh.

They got greedy. A single weight stuffed down the gullet wouldn’t have been spotted, and even two or three they could have got away with and had plausible deniability over if there was a hook and some line down with them, the fish might have swallowed that if someone’s line broke off, it could happen, but ten? Nah,…

I am an avid fisher but I am no where good enough to compete. However, I have friends who participated in this tournament when both offenders got caught those shitheads got lucky they didn’t get the shit beat out of them from what I heard.

Sorry for the confusion. Cold temperatures have nothing to do with it directly. Some stainless steel grades can become slightly magnetic with “cold working”.

You can find Deloreans that have rust, it’s not unheard of. At this point there’s probably some survivorship bias because you really only see the ones that have been taken care of.
