Yeah what was this? Felt so out of place, even amidst a weird season. And I agree I don't see the point of these flashbacks, they reveal nothing that Piscatella couldn't have portrayed in a few sentences. This show has some weird choices for flashbacks sometimes. (Linda???)

Well some of us already had watched most of these before they released so I appreciate it at least.

During the strip scene I thought it was all a ruse so he could grab the gun. I think the tension that something bad could happen made that scene work, but it did seem to go on a little too long for it literally just being a strip routine.

I agree about the montage, that was weird.
Liked the scene with Yadriel (Maria's boyfriend. I had to look up his name). Actually, I enjoyed all the glimpses of the families on the outside, I thought that was a good choice.

Easy fix for that now though because she could conceivably get a lot of time added to her sentence, especially since she was hiding down in the pool.

The biggest issue for me with this season was that it should have been a lot darker. I felt like last season was more disturbing than this one, which doesn't really make sense.
The Piscatella thing bugged me because that was probably the most fucked up storyline which took place this season, and it wasn't even really…

I thought it was entertaining overall, but I'm disappointed because it didn't feel like a real season of OITNB. It was like an experimental bonus season or something. I wish they did half seasons like some shows, because I think it would have been a lot better if it was only six episodes or something.

It's a partly comedic show about a prison. You could make the point that this show trivializes almost every single social issue out there. I think it's best to adjust to the show's world and enjoy it. Personally I thought the white surpremacists in this season were fun to watch, yet I never once thought "maybe the KKK…

Yeah this was a disappointment after season 4 which was maybe my favorite. Was kind of like a gas leak season. Still entertaining/bingeable as always though, and I can't wait to see how it wraps up.

I just get free broadcast TV and one of the channels is called Bounce, which is the black channel. Anyway, they recently started airing The Cosby Show on the channel, and seem to be heavily advertising that fact. Just thought that was kind of odd.

Don't they both accurately convey the same thing though? I hope I'm not coming off as on the wrong side of things here, I just don't understand why the word choice matters since they both describe something horrific.
