In addition to Dr. Opossum’s great points - Rick Scott rolled out the red carpet for Puerto Ricans displaced by Hurricane Maria and all his Spanish language ads distanced himself from Trump, while his English language ads did the opposite.

Gillum: racism; Nelson: quite possibly a moronically formatted ballot in Broward county.

Yeah, I mean, let’s accept almost all of the above, which is ludicrous. Why not buy her $10 in gas? It would get her at least 60 or 70 miles right?

This is what happens when the social safety net is based on a combination of Jesus, scratch-off lottery tickets, and online funding campaigns.

Bobbitt never learned the two greatest things in life:

It’s only a matter of time before a lifelong grifter dupes at least half this country into voting him into the Whitehouse ....

You’re either so naive and have never had to use a safety net program or just very ill-informed.

Actual fraud in welfare, etc is very rare.

Truly a conservative paradise

D’Amico and McClure are expected to announce their intentions to run for NJ State Senate shortly. The campaign donations page will be up and running in a few days.

I only give if I know the person involved. It’s probably a shitty attitude, but there are so many scams out there.

I FUCKING KNEW IT.

One time I had a girl approach me at the L in Chicago and ask me for money for a train fare. I offered her a train token (yeah, I’m old). She politely declined.

Train station in Chicago, guy said he and his family were trying to get home and “ran out of money”. I pulled out $20 to get to my $5 and he snatched that 20 and ran off yelling “KELLY, WE CAN GO HOME!”

At the end of the day he still got a shit ton of money for nothing. Whether it was 75k or 200k, he got it in short time for little actual work. I feel bad that he’s homeless, but he’s right back where he was before and had a blast for a few months.

Born in Jersey.

I live in NJ.  If someone from NJ is asking for money, it’s a scam.  That is all.

Huh, it’s almost like our system of people desperately begging on gofundme for money for medical care, housing, etc isn’t great and there should be a better social safety net in place that isn’t so easy to scam.

Man these people are dumb. They could have gotten away with this completely scot free if they weren’t just greedy miserable people and shared the money with the guy. They deserve the worst.
