I do not understand why people are not in favor of Cavill. He has tremendous physical presence, is outrageously good looking, loves the stories, and will work extremely hard in the role. Oh and Cavill is a big star right now, so it will help the show attract more talent and budget. He could be great! He could also be

plus Viggo is a very nice, but deeply artsy-weird guy who made enough money off of LOTR that he will never do anything again in his life that is not done purely for his own artistic muse. the only way he’d even touch something like this show would be if he learned polish and they filmed it in black and white and

Yes sir. You don’t land the franchise role as Superman without being an A-lister. You also don’t get the role as a Mission Impossible villian without having some serious momentum. I would bet he is the second highest paid actor in that film behind Cruise. Not sure if you noticed but they literally held up production

I HIGHLY doubt you’ve seen “all those movies” as The Tudors was a TV show that aired for five years so...

He already played Sterling:

I think this is a great casting. It adds a level of legitimacy to the whole project to bring on an A-lister. To those saying he is wooden or has no emotional range... that basically describes a Witcher does it not?

Hes a famous, very fit actor, who is obsessed with the material. He also can act very well (see everything but superman but thats the writing and director). Give it a chance. He atleast will bring in alot of new people to the witcher, while also put alot of effort into it because he truly believes in the project.

Great choice! He looks great as Superman, but his personality was way off. If he can match Geralt's personality, then we're in for a treat! He should also play Sterling Archer, by the way!

I’m more than happy to give him a chance, I think we’re underrating him pretty hard.

“Henry Cavill has no range”

Disagree on the unknown part. This guarantees attention and eyeballs for Netflix. It also shows a serious commitment to the series. Considering the season will only be eight episodes long and based on the books it likely means we’ll only get a few of the shorts stories from The Last Wish and possibly Sword of Destiny.

This is good news for me.

I feel like having a very good actor, with the perfect physicality for the role, and a great deal of enthusiasm for the material is about as good as it’s gonna get.

The dude can totally pull it off, though he looks more Nilfaardian then Geralt here I’ll admit.

You have more faith in the justice system, politicians and the US population than I do.

One of the only things that gets me through this shit is the knowledge that some day, Trump will die. And statistically, I should be alive when it happens.

I’ve maintained from the beginning that removal from office was just a pleasant daydream. Unless they can show, without a doubt, Trump committed a CRIME that cannot be blamed on someone else, the Senate will not convict, even if a Dem House files Articles of Impeachment.

We need to face the fact that This dingleberry will never be tossed out of office. Russia or no Russia, porn star or no porn star, illegitimate child or no illegitimate child, dead man on fifth Avenue or no dead man on fifth Avenue, the Republicans are too damn afraid of Trump’s base to do anything.

I’m pretty sure that’s exactly how he meant it.

I think they meant it to.
