When we lived in Wichita, our house was near that creek. One of the nearby streets had been built as a rain gutter that fed right into it. Cars routinely washed away in big storms.

I am one of those people who wants an aisle seat. I've flown often enough that I don't really care what's out the window any more. The aisle means I can get up and walk around a lot more easily, too.
We have much the same situation with a HDTV of about the same vintage, although not with anywhere near the number of things to play through it. There's a Blu-Ray player, a Roku box, a digital channel converter box (this was "digital ready" and without an actual digital tuner) and the cable DVR.

I wear Etymotics earplugs when I'm out shopping because my ears are so sensitive that the noise level in many businesses makes me physically ill (and let's not even mention the sound levels in movie theaters). I've found that the slightly moist wipes sold for cleaning CPAP masks clean earplugs equally well. A lot less…
