I would think a sport-tourer is probably their best bet, maybe a large adventure-tourer so they can jump curbs and cut across medians better. In those categories, Japanese bikes could do great. Their resale tends to suck though, so that could factor in.

A Ninja 300 can’t haul all their crap and isn’t pleasant to ride all day, every day of the work week.

I never said Harley would do any better under the new metric, merely that the metrics being talked about are of low enough importance that the difference between all the bikes is moot.
