Well they would probably still have the dudes on the ground helping them park, and therefore they could be used to help the aircraft back out. The reason this is better is because tugs are limited in number and by using this they can give the tugs to the larger aircraft. Also, propeller aircraft do this all the time.

I have still yet to see a shot of the bottom. I'm wondering if they continued the triangle shape down the bottom of the controller or flatten it out like the dualshock 3.

It is supposedly soft touch on top, and some other material on the bottom so you wont sweat, or something.
