I just went and read that review. Haha great line! But he’s basically defending the movie against all the haters. Roger always seemed to me to be less cold-eyed than other critics....he wasn’t as snotty about art, and he loved being entertained.

I don’t think scary is the right word. For me it was just this slow burn of dread, I knew something bad was happening but the buildup was the story. Then fifteen minutes of comical vengeance. It’s good fun and I also don’t drink tea anymore!
