Police and FBI will very often use undercover officers at protests as a means to target and track leaders as well as instigate violence and property damage only to arrest those who follow their lead.  

I suspect the undercover was either an agent provocateur or infiltrating to collect intelligence under false pretenses. They did it during Occupy, they’ve done it before, and they’re going to keep doing it to undermine protest, peaceful or otherwise.

What’s the background on that undercover cop story? I keep hearing it secondhand but who reported it originally? Did the cop tell the story? It’d be kind of funny him complaining about getting his ass kicked by his own forces when he was out there setting people up to get their asses kicked. Ironic, even.
