Sales Gears: It’s not entirely surprising; the hardest hit folks, economically, were the folks making under $40k and folks living paycheck-to-paycheck, not generally a big part of new car sales. Most folks making “buy new car” money probably had WFH jobs and just delayed their purchases due to the safety orders.

I hate to be pedantic, but they stopped being scooters when they decided to participate in the breaking down of storefront windows. Now they’re sclooters and I just can’t get on board with that.

Just smells to me like something a shitty YouTuber with no integrity would cook up for more exposure. Maybe he’s like the car guy version of that couple who “rehomed” their adopted child in recent news.

Right, I don’t see how the copyright holder would have any right to seize the vehicle. I can see having him take down the videos, but not seeing how it would result in the car being seized (couldn’t he take the parts and use it in another project?)

Thank you.  These are the people and places I choose to support.

The protesters and looters took their chances, but the businesses that got looted and burned didn’t sign up for the bullshit.

I’d guess when you see it’s not moving out of the lane with a fucking overturned truck blocking it?

> It’s not a crash because of Autopilot. It’s a crash with Autopilot.

Likewise, it’s not a skydiving fatality because of the parachute. It’s a skydiving fatality with the parachute.
You had one job.

Tesla’s lack of effective automatic emergency braking is also a failure. The lack of any airbag deployment in the car is also a shocking failure. There are lots of technical and human failures here.

Yesterday I almost had a Model 3 drive into me (he missed only because I noticed and got out of the way) because the driver was looking at the screen instead of the road (trying to turn on autopilot?). He came up the ramp, and went directly across two lanes before realizing he wasn’t paying attention and swerving back

What I think people are missing is, look how well autopilot was performing prior to plowing into the truck. This is a win - Elon.

The G35 coupe was a heavier 350Z with a nice interior and back “seats”. The G35 Sedan was a four door 350Z. The 350Z was a Nissan sure, but was brand new in 2003 and wasn’t a parts bin job slapped together. It was a competitive and fantastic car that kept up with even V8 ponycars through the early to mid aughts while

Since they are bringing back the “Z”, this is the perfect opportunity to bring back the G37 as a slightly stretched and luxed up version. The G37 was the right way to share platforms between mass market and upscale brands. Slapping an electric motor in a tranverse CVT sadness boat is not.

It’s been said ad nauseum here, but Infiniti died the day they abandoned the G nameplate. It was a bone fide sleeper at it’s introduction and even at the time of it’s aging departure, a perfectly respectable and handsome luxury sports sedan. Then they went all Audi with Q’s, put in numb drive by wire steering, and the

Yeah, that is unfortunate. My wife bought this one new and it is bone stock. I like to say, “I was Infiniti before it was uncool”.

I own a 2009 G37. It is a reasonably priced, fast, reliable, moderately attractive, good handling, and overall fun to drive four door sedan (compared to a Camry). My prescription is for them to go back to building things like the G37 - quality, inexpensive, RWD alternatives to the Germans.

2. They are lucky they got out with their lives.

The power imbalance between someone in a vehicle and a pedestrian is tremendous. In the case of the Brooklyn events, protestors faced down a Ford Explorer Police Interceptor Utility, a vehicle that weighs in excess of three tons unloaded with more than three hundred horsepower under the hood. When aimed at

The next logical step.
