For that price why not. Not a rare car by today’s standards but when was the last time you saw one. It would be a nice addition to any driveway or parking garage separating itself from all of the Toyotas and Hondas. Plus it will give you a reson to dust off your cassette collection and rock out old school.

I think some people might like it for the ‘sleeper’ quality or whatever (not with those wheels, though, obviously). I’d probably roll with it if it were closer to $7k - $9k. The price for a 17-year-old vehicle, new engine/trans or not, just doesn’t jive with me unless it is something extremely special and pretty well…
