Have you driven a Miata? or any small sports car? Let me just say, they’re a hell of a package.

Do you like driving? Have you driven one? What do you think of “slow car fast”?

I don’t get it either. Yes its rare, but its rare because it sucks.

38,000$ could buy me alot of crack pipes... actually at the average price of about 7$ (thank you google, i am now worried my IT department will be calling after that search) you could buy 5428 crack pipes!

It is an interesting car, in good condition, as stated in the article the similar concept fiberglass Puma was lighter and faster, it was also better looking.

For that amount of money, I’d just buy a real Volkswagen Beetle.

You want me to send $38,000 to another country and trust someone else to fill out the paperwork to buy a car that I can’t test drive or even touch. And the car in question is a 45 year-old VW featuring less power than a Honda Civic. And the car allegedly only accrued 2,200 miles per year on average.

$38 grand? Might as well be asking a brazilian dollars for it.

This weak ass take is perfect. I’ve watched the replay on Niskanen’s cross-check 10 times and I struggle not to have 10 different opinions. Because it’s Crosby, people will want blood. But Niskanen was bounced on a major & game misconduct. That’s pretty heavy punishment when it’s hopelessly unclear what, if any,

Niskanen is probably getting too much of the blame the wayward stick from Ovie to the back of the head was the catalyst for the play.

The Carfax alert on the mileage doesn’t really bother me. Only accruing an apparent 546 miles in the past 23 years suggests that it either sat for a very long time, or the odometer is broken. Either is a concern, but on a vehicle of this age, condition trumps mileage, and it looks clean.

Agreed. I’m guessing that none of this was actually sanctioned or done with permission. It sounds like a lot of fun, but it’s not fucking cool if there are junk car parts and a shit load of litter left out in the woods. Not to mention, it’s assinine to do something so unsafely that it could start a fire or injure

The cars optimized to do one thing and one thing only. To be honest this is a breath of fresh air compared to alot of auto manufactures that try to make a car with the mentality to do all things well, but make a marginal car at best. I’m talking to you Fwd small->medium sized SUVs that do nothing well.

So the car was driven fairly hard and the guy is coming up with excuses for a new motor. Couple that with his claim that he bought the car “from a dealer” last year, which makes it “sound” like he bought it new, but in fact, he’s the second or possibly third owner.

CP. The allure of a turbo’d BRZ is strong, but I’m not buying somebody else’s Frankensubaru. For that price, I can put one together myself without wondering where it’s been.

Used car on its second engine with power upgrades that verge on unreliability. What an investment opportunity.

Haven’t we had this conversation before?

I actually felt it was a bit more Top Geary than the latest season of Top Gear with Clarkson and co.

I really loved it !

Also the REV counter at zero is a good confirmation that the engine is still.
