I will be wrapping up my playthrough of Donkey Kong: Tropical Freeze. At least, I hope I will - this game is pretty merciless. Still, I'm midway through World 6, so I'm feeling optimistic. Really love the game, though it definitely pushes me to the limit of my abilities (I've tried to avoid buying power-ups other than

I found their last album just a bit disappointing, but saw them in concert last month and they pretty much ignored that album entirely. That doesn't necessarily mean anything, but it makes me wonder if they'll sound a bit more like themselves this time around.

Hmmmm. I'm a big Wilco fan, but this isn't really doing much for me. Maybe it's one of those tracks that grows on you after a while.

He has a face like a flower. A cauli-flower!

I'm pretty sure that roughly 25% of my playtime was spent working on stuff related to upgrading my armor.

I'm experiencing a bit of this right now. I picked up MLB The Show 14, intending to play it casually over the course of the year. Alas, I've kind of gotten into a groove and really figured out which difficulty settings work best for me (All-Star pitching, Veteran hitting), and every time I finish playing a game I'll

I actually agree with that - the story is a bit more compelling thus far - I have no real issues with the meat of the game. Even so, wandering around doing random stuff was more interesting and rewarding in Arkham City. This one doesn't make me want to wander off the beaten path as often.

Glad Rocksteady is back in charge. I'm playing through Origins at the moment, and while it's a perfectly decent game (I had a laughing fit after that first boss fight with The Electrocutioner), the city feels weirdly empty and lifeless.

And America hasn't even gotten a glimpse of John Malkovich's white-bearded Blackbeard yet…

I kinda hope this flops just so everyone gets to use the headline TROUBLE IN RATINGS CITY.

Good to know. Yeah, I've read a few reviews which basically claim that it's more of the same old, same old, but it's new to me, so…

This weekend, I'll be playing "Attend a Musical Festival!" Going to the Shaky Knees Fest in ATL and seeing a whole bunch of indie rock. Should be fun.

"Curated" seems like a strong word to use when describing the creation of a Buzzfeed quiz.

I don't think Mario is really into her, either. He seems way more interested in messing around with long pipes.

I watched this one a few weeks ago. It's sorta-kinda progressive for the time, I guess, but certainly not "shockingly" so. The message is basically, "hey, be nice to your wife," but it doesn't suggest reconsidering traditional gender roles or anything.

I wasn't familiar with them at all before this past weekend, but I saw them open for Arcade Fire and was blown away. Can't wait to listen to this.

So is it fair to say Hugh feels he's getting too old for this snikt?

Oh, man… no, I never thought of trying that. Wow. I'm really curious to know if that actually works. Too late now (I'm on my fifth cycle through the world, which I'm told is the last), but I might be more likely to replay it at some point if that's actually the case.

I'll be playing some more Bravely Default this weekend.

Hope you have fun at Jazzfest! I went in 2012 and 2013 and had a blast (despite the fact that the fairgrounds turned into a mud puddle and smelled like manure last year). Alas, can't make it this year, but I'm going to Bonnaroo in June.
