Why won’t slideshows die? : Gawker won’t let it. 

I’m guessing that there’s a office quota being filled, and that every few months the quota has been getting raised. I just know it’s driving me away from a family of sites I’ve loved for a decade.

Some companies really just need to let their TVs be dumb TVs. Especially for high-end 4K or 8K televisions. Either the buyer is smart enough to do their own setup that obsoletes the internal OS, or rich enough to hire someone to make sure everything works right— which inevitably involves doing a setup that obsoletes…

Bold design choice but I do enjoy the stripes.

I saw it in an IMAX theatre with an absurdly large screen, a sound system that nearly shattered my coccyx, and 45 minutes of previews and commercials.

Given the ego involved I’m surprised he isn’t claiming to have written the code all by himself. But of course this is the beta, still time for him to add that...

Your first paragraph was actually a decent argument. You should have stopped there. Making this political is the whole reason we are all in this mess longer than we needed to be. It’s like a second pandemic of political divide that we all need to agree is even more detrimental to all of us.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, we’ll never be back to “normal.” This pandemic is like a slower 9/11; it’s fundamentally changing our society.
