I thought she was riveting.

yeah, he left the book instead.

Self-destruction to the point of no-return. It fits with the "survival" theme of the show. Every single major character's life (or career or self-respect) lay in the palm (or paw - this includes the cat) of their own hand…

I was sad and surprised. A minority lawyer who had brains and got a chance to shine… derailed by absolutely no sense of self-preservation. My whole "survival" theme about this story showcased beautifully by the other side of the coin - Chandra's self-destruction. They may not have shown it, but I was half-expecting a

LOL I felt pretty terrible for her, esp when she walked out of the courtroom first. Couldn't wait to get the hell outta there and get started on that other Plan B career she was planning on back in college.

Yeah, and a pretty successful rapper at that. He's got some all-round talent there.

I have to agree about that. Still, for a limited series that captured my attention every single moment of its run, I won't denigrate its worth.

Totally agreed with you on Chandra. But her weakness may have landed her in hot water where her career is concerned.

I did get that but wanted to also mention this actress 🙂

She strikes me as very impulsive and emotional. She tries to hug Naz's mom. She has feelings of sympathy for Stone. She is very sympatico with Naz's family's situation in general. She impulsively follows up on the mortician and then is totally shaken. She's green, sure, but she's not AT ALL detached.

LOL. That actress is actually well-known for her ability to emote w/o words.

Two quick questions: was this the Boston City Medical examiner, and how recent was the 2nd finding. This is interesting to me. Is there any way you could put up a link to this story? Thanks!

He's just in a hurry to retire and be done with it. Seeing him check the "Ordinary Death" box, and then walking slowly to the bar with the camera bearing down on his neck… I was waiting for him to be jumped and mugged, especially because he pretty much looked like he was on his way to his funeral. LOL.

Excellent post. Just my thoughts. This entire show is about survival. Starting from what happened to Naz and his family and their community post-9/11, to Stone's need to survive the dismantling of his non-existent career, the cat's glaring metaphor… down to "I will survive" playing as Box walks into the bar.

Except she leaned in.

Watching him walk there with the camera so close to his neck/head, I pretty much expected him to get axed right there.

Well, the cat is Naz, so now I'm waiting for it to scratch/cut Stone's throat. ;)

I was thinking about that the entire time. Yuck.

Oh, she's attracted, and so was he. IMDB has been rife with speculation as to when the kiss (etc) might occur, and they just got rewarded tonight. Ugh.

She's Hindu and from India. But there is a sort of subcontinental sense of… sympatico. I feel it all the time with my Pakistani friends in the USA. I don't think Indians in India and Pakistanis in Pakistan feel the same about each other, LOL. But, here… we're from the same land and culture. It's not uncommon to feel
