I can't get into these movies. I can't take the apes seriously.

I love what these guys do and I wish I could do it.

We didn't just lose a great critic when Ebert dies - we lost a great writer.

I love how evil Burns is in this. Kicking a boy to his death - coldblooded.

Nicely done - I love the uninformed hack style, like every newspaper article ever about comics.

This passion for vampires in film, TV, books et al. has lingered in our culture longer than is healthy I think. How many have there been Count?

I like the series, but how am I supposed to go into Unity when there's (presumably) no sailing? Black Flag spoiled me.

Agreed, but I really like 'Under the Red Hood.;

Ah the exploding batarang. I guess they had to have Batman contribute in a fight alongside Superman.

The Brainiac reveal lets the League off the hook a little bit. I love this show dearly, but they bring up a fantastic conflict in this season that doesn't quite pay off.

This is nothing new. There have been many Jasmine's since Aladdin came out.

Pass. Wake me when the holodeck is ready.

This is an episode or two early, but the Brainiac reveal does let the League off the hook a little bit. I love this show dearly, but they bring up a fantastic conflict in this season that doesn't quite pay off.

Agreed. I'm a fan, but the last two books have been a slog. The show has been a remarkable adaptation - faithful in spirit, but improved in many ways.

Supposedly. The show runners apparently drilled Martin about the eventual fates of all the characters so they can set things up.

How did the JL get video footage, from an alternate universe, of Superman frying President Luthor?

You know what? I prefer the show now. It's still glacially paced, but less so, and I know it will eventually conclude.

I'm weary of the 'You can't prove there isn't a God." argument. "How could you know?"

Well, innocent until proven guilty, right?

"It would be a mini-series and people love those. You show people a
four-hour movie and they roll their eyes. Show people a four-part
mini-series and they’ll sit and watch it all in one sitting."
