1.8l heads won’t work on a 1.6l Miata engine. The dimensions are too different.

It’s a 1.8l not a 1.6l.

Cam angle sensor is on the exhaust side and the cooling return coming out of the front of the engine gives it away. It’s a 1.8L.

The Hellcat Charger they have is the General Maintenance. During the episode they say that the General Mayhem was unavailable because it was at an auto parts show/convention. So no General Mayhem this episode. That’s OK, because General Mayhem anywhere but on a rally stage is anti-climatic.

I had a 1997 or 98 Metro. I beat on that car, handbrake turns, off-roading, etc. And it just kept going, right up until it broke a rod. Replaced it, no scoring in the cylinder, thankfully, and the beat on it some more. Finally, at about 110,000 miles the head gasket let go, and it became uneconomical to fix.
