Look, anything any white person says in this thread that isn't agreeing that Jezebel has become a place of rich, white privilege has been attacked.

It's funny. I feel the same way about what you are saying. The world view from 20 years ago is not what it is today.
I think every situation has its own pros and cons. Fat is not the new black. But black is not what it once was either. Neither is being gay.
I think 20 years ago, the fat person would have had more privilege. Now, I honestly don't know. Maybe the fat man would still edge out - but barely. The fat woman would never be hired. And a fat POC? No way.
I'm afraid to confirm this statistic for fear I'll be accused of being naive and privileged.
what would happen if I called a black person a dog on here? Would that be accepted? Not a chance.
Kinja is not letting me link
So it's OK for you to write me a completely condescending comment with false information and then tell me I should "think about " what you have to say - but I'm not allowed to respond because I'm white?
It is not BS. There are SO many studies showing this failure rate. (http://xnet.kp.org/permanentejour…)
1. Your comments are uneducated and naive. Being fat in this country is a nightmare.
There's a lot of discussion tonight about how Jezebel is for rich, white women.
I think that's a very simplistic way of looking at things. Yes, it is possible to lose weight but 99 percent of the time, people cannot. There is also no stigma against being biased against fat people - in fact, hatred against fat people is encouraged everywhere.
I appreciate you hearing me out. I agree that the plane story was a little... odd. For me, I am super duper sensitive to weight comments and I wonder if she is too, after a lifetime of heckling etc.
This is a fantastic show and I know nothing about football.
"She is oppressed only because she is overweight." You say this like it's a small thing.
I know! When I watch it now, it's a whole new thought process. I'm kind of glad that scene wasn't in the movie. I don't think 14-year-old me could have handled that.
well are you totally impacted? If so, I would take the fully under option. If not, it's pretty straightforward.
No. He was an independent contractor. I think there were just so many things wrong with the house that he missed a couple things. I backed out at first, and then ended up buying the house when the seller paid to repair all the issues.
please please make sure to get an independent inspector. And request the utilities from the past year so you know what you are getting into.
I love Dirty Dancing. I saw it when I was 14? 15? and it was the first time I was really turned on by anything as a teenage girl (yeow Patrick Swayze dancing.)
