Does Judi Dench say “I am the Queen” 27 times in the movie proper or was that just a fun feature of the trailer?

I think the line "I hope you're somewhere praying" can be read through kind of a "fuck you" lens. I don't really think the two readings of the song are incompatible.
I think it's kind of cool. I don't usually like songs with earnest religious undertones but "I've moved on and you can only appeal to God now for being so shitty" is an interesting angle for her to take following the last few years of controversy.
Pretty much. Now imagine if it was almost every straight character in every movie ever made.
Except that they're pretty awful characters and middling at the very best as far as representation goes.
Me too! I went into it with dampened expectations after reading about a lot of audience disappointment, but it really clicked with me. It will almost definitely be sitting in my Top 10 by year's end.
I liked The Blackcoat's Daughter a good deal more than I Am The Pretty Thing, though I did also like that one. Blackcoat's Daughter has more of a plot and much more in the way of actual payoff, but it is definitely still working in a reserved, quiet mode.
I wish It Comes At Night and The Blackcoat's Daughter (both excellent) would have more of a place in the horror conversation this year, which is completely dominated by Get Out, easily the least scary (and trying the least to be scary) of them all. It's a good movie that I do think deserves to be discussed as much as…
This album is phenomenal.
Yeah onions are easily the worst part of onion rings
This is a Bad Album, but I think the saddest part of the whole rollout is that at the end of it all, KP didn't even end up with the best album named Witness released in June 2017.
That, and the fact that a persecution complex is a hell of a drug. Once you're convinced that you've found the secret truth that others are trying to suppress, the entire goddamn world can tell you you're wrong and it will only make you feel more right.
Not surprising, but holy shit, her whole Twitter timeline is vile. How do people get like this?
"Outside Bones" is the funniest thing the show ever did and I have no expectation that they'll ever top it, but by god if they do I will be there for it.
I remember when Once Upon a Time and Grimm first aired lo those many years ago, and the world watched to see which, if either, of these competing fairy-tale based shows would survive. It's kind of amazing that as of the beginning of this calendar year, they were both still on the air. What a crazy world network…
It probably is. I saw her live in Toronto last year and it was great.
As a horny gay dude I have another idea
Yeah, Blood Crieth Unto Heaven may not be the laugh out loud funniest episode overall but its eye for detail is brilliant (and it's still pretty damn funny).
The old woman at the grocery store in Bully For Steve is one of the best gags the show has ever done.
Yeah we get that, I think the problem is more that "maybe he'll change" is a big part of IRL abusive relationships and why many people don't leave them. Beauty and the Beast legitimizes that narrative and gives it a happy ending ("see, he did change and now they're happy!!"). To the extent that little girls and boys…
