Hey now, Titanium is a pretty great song.
Hey now, Titanium is a pretty great song.
None of that really surprises me, but it does explain what the hell was going on with the cave which was noticeably confusing and out of place. I really hope this movie gets a director's cut at some point. Most of my problems with it (including the randomness of the cave scene) could be dealt with if that extra hour…
I think How I Met Your Mother was something of an anomaly, being a multi-cam sitcom with way more ambitious storytelling goals than the average multi-cam. Storylines jumped around in time a lot and there were a lot of nested narratives within nested narratives. Apparently, the laugh track on HIMYM was only recorded…
Don't get me wrong, I liked it! But if it wasn't for the internet, I probably wouldn't have thought about it again after leaving the theatre.
See, I know that I'm just setting myself up for disappointment but none of the middling reviews are making me any less excited for this. Maybe it's also the fact that I thought the first Avengers was underwhelming despite really strong reviews, so I'm not too bothered with linking the critical reception to my…
I was the same way, then I ended up watching them for some reason. They're fine. You're missing nothing.
Meanwhile, Season 6 and Season 4 are my favourite seasons of Buffy and Angel, respectively. I totally get the criticisms of both of them, but hey, different strokes and all that
It's a criticism that's been levelled against Whedon dozens of times to this day, but for most I imagine he probably gets a lifetime pass for "The Body". If Shonda Rhimes ever wrote anything that treated death with the same weight and realism as that episode she'd probably get praised for it too.
Good. I hope this goes down in history as the massive douche move it was and nothing more.
It's a little ridiculous, isn't it? Before I even remembered that Rachel was out of commission due to the events of the finale, I took one look at the header image for this review and said "That's not Rachel".
"a Castor getting busy in the bedroom, a Castor sneaking into Felix's"
I love House of the Devil but it fell out of that specific timeframe, and I liked The Innkeepers well enough. Haven't seen Lords of Salem, but I'll look into it!
I'd say I've probably seen most of "big" horror movies from that timeframe, excluding any Paranormal Activities, so off the top of my head, that would include The Conjuring, The Babadook, Sinister, Insidious 1 & 2, Evil Dead, Cabin in the Woods….and a lot of crap like The Devil Inside, Annabelle, Deliver Us From Evil,…
I saw the trailer for this a couple of weeks ago and thought it looked hilarious. When I saw the RottenTomatoes score of 85% a few days ago, I almost fell out of my chair.
Me too. But it hasn't left my mind, it's still one of my recent favourites and I've seen it a couple of times since.
I just saw It Follows last night, based purely on the hype without even seeing so much as a trailer. It lived up, and is probably the best horror movie I've seen in the last five years.
I disagree. I've seen it three times, and it was only new once. I loved it just as much every time.
Man, I cannot understand the idea of those two as sex symbols. Okay, Scully I can kind of understand (although I think she looks better now to be honest), but Mulder? Really? I'm like 95% sure the whole thing for him is an elaborate joke that I've never caught on to.
Will Forte would still be the better answer.
You must be Gavin.
