That's probably a discussion to be had by people who have seen the movie.

I'm surprised but really pleased to see Coherence on this list, but surprised and displeased to see The Lego Movie didn't make the cut. Boyhood in the top spot is completely unsurprising - but not in a bad way. It WAS the best movie this year, far and away, bar none. Nothing else would feel right.

"Marge Be Not Proud" is one of my favorite Simpsons episodes. I just watched it the other day, actually. I'm always amazed at how realistically the conflict between Bart and Marge plays out, it's like an extended exercise in why "I'm not angry, I'm just disappointed" is the worst thing you can hear from a parent when

DJ Earworm's mashup kicks this one's ass and then some.

I'd argue Patricia Arquette's monologue before Mason leaves for college belongs on that list.

After a semester too full of school-reading for fun-reading, today I finally picked up the copy of Acceptance that I bought way back in September. I'm really liking it so far, and I'm already planning on going back and reading Annihilation again when I'm done. The uncanny tone of the whole trilogy really sticks in

The Best TV Series categories for comedy & drama combined only have one show from a Big 4 network (The Good Wife). That's…well, not surprising exactly, but I'd definitely say it's at least on the cusp of interesting.

I also love I Wanna Get Better, but the album is just okay. Very forgettable.

I haven't given this too much thought yet, but the title track from "God Help the Girl" could end up topping my list when all is said and done. There was a lot of music to love this year but I don't think any other song was able to put me into a genuinely good mood so quickly and so consistently. It's pure joy.

Can confirm. Rattlesnake might not even be in my Top 5 of that album (though let's face it, every song on that album is Top 5 worthy), but god damn did it make a great show opener.

I'm glad someone at least gave mention to Got A Girl. It's not a super great album but the overall sound is really enjoyable, and there are some standout tracks ("I'll Never Hold You Back" and "There's a Revolution" being my favorites). Plus they might have my favorite album name of the year.

I've been listening to the Angel Olsen album a lot for the past week or so, and as good as it is I'm honestly surprised it got the number one spot. I'd have given to it to St. Vincent myself. But it's a damn good album.

That header image is one version of Mulaney I might actually want to see.

Man, the show is on fire this season. I didn't even think last season was bad but it still feels like a bounce back of sorts.

And the beautiful Tale of Three Brothers animated sequence. There's a reason that Deathly Hallows Part 1 is my favourite of the series. That split was a blessing.

This was great. I loved the bit about bringing a dead dog to a party.

You know what? I'm okay with that. If I knew Jamie Dornan was going full frontal in this I might actually be compelled to see it.

I think this doesn't get much notice because he is an overly stuffy and workaholic guy, but it isn't really presented in a way typical to the Asian stereotypes. Part of that probably has to do with the work he does (marketing doesn't really fall into a stereotypical "Asian" occupation, if such a thing exists), and the

The hell? I've been keeping an eye on this for a while trying to find out when it was coming back, I think the last time I checked was like 2 weeks ago, and now I find out it's back tonight? Weird shit. But I'm excited!

Did Taylor Swift curbstomp your puppy or something?
