wow this is very snarky even by Kinja standards
Thanks for the reply, and absolutely 75% was a gross exaggeration on my part.

No, there is no plans to eat the woolly mammoths, unfortunately.
If you consider your interpretation of this article being “tongue-in-cheek” a “fact”, then you are on the path to alternative facts.
Disagree about everything you said. Good chat.
I just re-read all your comments and have no idea how you can consider any of that tongue in cheek.
I will check it out, I def use chargers and anker products, I just usually order what I need and don’t feel the need to wait for a $15 charger getting marked down $2.

To each their own. It was way too overboard for me to consider it tongue in cheek.
Haha deal! Are you another person who spends very little time outside of work on gawker sites?
Do you at least agree that the research is at least worthwhile?
Bah!
That’s what bugged me so much about this article. Clearly Aimee is not a scientist either, and this entire article was written in fear-mongering tone without any factual info to support why she is fear mongering. It clearly worked, at least on you, as you have no specific reasons, but still come out against the woolly…
why are you in the greys?
If it’s a genetic disease (this is the only type of disease that could be “resurrected” with the mammoths. A viral, bacteria, or fungal infection would have to infect the elephants or mammoth directly.
Absolutely not. If you are only willing to endorse research you personally see benefit in, we will never advance our knowledge. Many of the most earth-shattering discoveries were made while studying a different subject entirely.
If there is already a disease out there capable of wiping out elephants, how would resurrecting the mammoth affect this?
Person posting comments on a blog tells scientists doing groundbreaking work “Don’t you have better things to do” without sense of irony.
Is this fox news? Fear mongering without basis is dumb.
