Steve Harvey Oswald mentioned the poverty and living wages for Boston, so yes it’s likely he knows where the university is located.

this is a stupid strawman

your post is long but completely misses the point

I am right there with you. Everyone should have the opportunity to earn a living wage.

You haven’t read Another Burners posts at all if this is your conclusion. Nowhere do I see him/her having a problem with allowing people to earn a living wage. He/she is saying that if the employer and employee agreed on a wage of $12/hr, why is it the responsibility of the employer to bump up the employees pay when

Jesus you are delusional.

Yes exactly. If people accept a position that they don’t feel pays enough, it takes a huge sense of entitlement to imply that the employer is at fault.

It’s not illegal to hire a 14 year old.

I, of course, support raising the minimum wage to a liveable wage. But if I get hired for a job that didn’t guarantee hours through the summer or grant any particular benefits, then I would not expect my employer to provide these things.

I bought the 500gb 750ssd when it was on sale for ~$125 about a month ago and have been very happy with it. I would still recommend a faster ssd if your intent is to put the OS on it, but these 750s are great for extra storage that is much faster than an HDD but still relatively affordable.

All of which is to say...pseudonyms are important, and not to be pierced lightly.

Oh Wow! I keep seeing the James Frey name mentioned in these articles and I finally looked him up. I actually read his “a million little pieces book” many years ago and didn’t realize it was this same author.

That gives him a hook—it does!—but unless those falsehoods are of actual consequence, I don’t really care.

Also, the Streisand effect will be strong, the marching band is going to get 10x the coverage it would have since he made this decision.

I love the “Can you please protest at a time when no one is watching” defense that keeps coming up regarding this anthem thing.

Stop making this about you. Your personal desire to know, or not know something is NOT what makes something newsworthy.

Also, the link to the ocho cinco kicking really doesn’t reinforce the point. He nailed the PAT and sent a kickoff into the endzone, maybe not a spectacular kickoff but it was sufficient.

I have nothing to add, I just thought this sentence needed to be repeated.

One major point of this article is that a persons desire to keep something secret is not sufficient to determine something isn’t newsworthy.

yeah this is the Streisand effect going strong now
