I said what you said. GameStop can't tell Square Enix to not have the coupon, but GameStop can refuse to sell the product with the coupon.

GameStop is refusing to sell one version of the game. I'm not saying all parties are losing a huge amount of money. Less money is made in the process of this event. It can be recouped, but that's not a given.
There are some acceptable J-games that are exclusive, even if not extremely popular:

I'm practically sold just by the thought of the time-manipulation+projectile-setup=insta-kill-streak. That's a really bad-ass gameplay ability that I haven't seen to often. It reminds me of Spliter Cell: Conviction with Sam Fisher's ability to target foes, then auto-head-shot them when he's in range. Mechanics that…
Played the demo on Steam. Quite impressed.
This picture demonstrates why we got rid of wires from controllers :)
Or fight with majong pieces? Make Majong knuckles? Shove them down the opponents throat?
All parties involved are losing money. Square Enix has to refund the stock returned from GameStop, GameStop has fewer copies to sell, and OnLive isn't getting potential customers those coupons.
I'm in! Since it's F2P, I'll totally play it. I'm willing to spend some cash on the game too, getting all the characters unlocked. The first game was amazing and most of my friends agreed. We've been getting more involved with PC gaming now, so this is a perfect addition for our game nights (which take place on…
I'll stick to W4K Space Marines and just imagine its Commander Shephard with a chainsaw sword.
I'm going to guess that the Metal Gear HD Collection is an appeasement (and funding strategy) for the prolonged development of MGSR.
That's really good. They should do that bundle in Japan, but substitute the 5 games for J-games. That requires a little more paperwork, but could create a nice business boost.
Majong Fight Club? Umm...those words fail to summon any comprehensible image from my imagination.
The only part where I have fault with GameStop in this issue is them opening sealed boxes then selling them to people as if they were not opened. If they were then to offer an additional discount for compensation of opening the box, they wouldn't look quite as dickish.
The current 3DS is considered obsolete by many gamers :)
It looks awesome and I would love to have to the Playstation D-pad on my 360 controller.
If Asura's Wrath won't have multiplayer, then put him in Ultimate Marvel VS Capcom as a DLC character. He would be awesome in there!
I'm pretty sure we all generally expected Nintendo to be working on a redesign of the Nintendo 3DS as Nintendo characteristically renovates its handheld models over their life span.
It seems like experimentation is over-ruling sophistication at this point. 3D fighters always tend to have less sophisticated fighting systems. Hopefully, that won't remain the trend.
