I never use the packets that come with it. As others have noted, its high in sodium and I'd rather use Franks Hot Sauce or other flavoring devices.

Or, you could do like I do, and put the pepperoni on first, then layer in the pizza sauce, cheese, and other toppings. That way, you still get the flavoring of the grease, but its absorbed into the crust.
