I know this boggles your mind. But I would be willing to guess that if Apple didn't implement the swipe, pinch, flick gestures we might still be using a magnifying glass button and arrows on the screen to get where we wanted to go.
If it wasn't for Apple implementing that idea we would probably still be pressing left and right arrows or working with physical buttons in order to flip through photos.

Gizmodo is correct in that Steve quit in a time that would cause the least amount of damage to shareholders. After the announcement of the iPhone 5 the stock will rebound. After the announcement of another record breaking quarter the stock will inch even higher.
Pretty much every news outlet online and off reported the news of Apple being the most valuable company. But "Odin from Gizmodo" (a pretty big deal on the internets i hear) and a few other detractors love to recycle the same "market value" arguments when they see fit.

Have you bothered looking at the history of ARM? The company in it's current incarnation is a direct result of working with Apple. If you think that most of these components are already laying around like pieces to some unsolved puzzle you're sadly sadly mistaken. Apple works closely with the hardware manufacturers…
