HA!
HA!
Why didn't Apple think of this - in a much more stylish way, of course.
I've used XYplorer for years - dumb name, but I highly recommend it. I find it better than most, if not all of the paid/free alternatives - which I've also used. My one reservation was that it didn't have FTP capability. However, I got over this quickly once I installed the FireFTP add-on to Firefox.
Just buy or reuse non-childproof bottles and pour your meds into those.
I've done that in the past with Altoid tins. I cut old magnetic refrigerator calendars to fit the bottom of the box, then glue it on. I have one each for old twist ties, push pins, etc. and stick the tins to the side of my desk. It keeps them out of the way, organized and prevents spills.
I don't know anyone who keeps a home (or work) computer running when they're at another location for any length of time.
Nice. What would make it better is memory settings for the desk and monitor, so you don't have to fiddle with them to get the exact same height each time.
More spam comments ... good grief.
Am I the only one seeing the spam comments? Now they're appearing in bold type!
My Google Reader feed of LH sometimes shows post content before the typos are corrected. The original headline read "Empty Remains You To Empty Your Mac's Trash."
I'm seeing more and more spam messages on LH (and other blogs) that mention their friends mother making X dollars an hour. Can't these be automatically filtered? I know I can ignore them but ...
Does LH not remove obvious spam?
Why bother. Just true crypt/hide files on your USB flash drive and let it dangle from your key chain, as Mother Tech intended.
How do they peeve me? Let me count the ways:
I worked at ad agencies for 20 years and never saw a designer's work area look that tidy.
Japanese monsters - e.g.: Godzilla, Mothra, Rodan, Gamera, etc.
Is it me or does the volume control not work? When you click it, the volume turns on or off - no in between ... in Chrome and Safari anyway. The site doesn't seem to work at all in Firefox. I click the play button for a song and the site just scrolls down through a few songs and plays nothing. Might be a plugin…
History is no guarantee.
This probably won't work with the economy.
+1 on SnagIt. I use it daily on the PC. I assume it's as good on the Mac.
