Ok, getting it this week. Any thoughts on a good starting character?

Hi guys! Can someone tell me if this is a good fps for a 36 (ok 37) year old Dad? While I play a ton of rpg’s and solo fps video games, online fps was never my favorite. Everyone makes it seem so fun I really want to try it but not if I get killed constantly. I’d really like support or heals.
