If you feel inclined to label people who don’t know/care about the bullshit melodrama that constantly plagues youtube as “elitist,” then you are just way too damn invested.

“...my steps echoed like pistol shots as I walked down the wet, dark street, the only lights coming from frowsy, raddled neon signs promising worn out pleasures, and from the end of my cigarette, glowing like a hot tip about a cold case. If Lillian had been there, she woulda lit that dumpy, worn out alley up like

“Lillian’s a good time gal. Liked the finer things in life. Champagne, furs, fast cars. Took up with a fella named Fisheye McGoon. Oh, he could see alright, but it was like he could see trouble comin’ a mile away, and from all sides. Runs a coupla rackets down at the docks, but penny-ante stuff. G-men pulled him in a

It doesn’t explain why KellyAnne would have a topless photo of her teenage daughter in the first place.

Does anyone think that lying and gaslighting come easy to good people? Kellyanne Conway was hired by Trump specifically because she is a toxic and abusive person. Those were her qualifications for her job in the Trump administration.

There is no vaccine for what is wrong with those parents. That child would not be the first person in human history to love her abuser and want to protect them from the consequences of their abusive behaviors.

AND for something that is purely optional, (not prive gouging for essential medicines) would a lower price point not encourage more sales?

I do not want to be the UK person jumping in to shame the US medical system, but I just bought (privately, not through the NHS) a box of 20 rapid antigen tests for £150. What on gods earth is the justification for charging over $100 for something that can so easily save lives, and the ex president’s precious economy!

Nice article, mildly irrelevant as a Mulsim covering is way more substantial than a face mask (unless i am mistaken on what the faith based covering would have been), as well as the idea that we are talking about perceived medical safety, not personal beliefs.

That’s literally what a face to face meeting is...one where both people are in the room (or on the Zoom) at the same time, and the accused can respond to the accuser. A mask doesn’t prevent any of that. As long as her identity has been confirmed by the court (and I am sure it has), a mask has not bearing whatsoever on

The confrontation clause doesn’t say shit about masks.  I’m all for criminal defendants getting their constitutional rights, but seeing the witness’s teeth isn’t a necessary component of a fair trial.

THe witness was facing the accused. A mask doesn’t make the witness not there, and seeing her mouth doesn’t grant anyone anything. Face to face just means in the same damn place.

Seattle PD keeps a list of people who are in danger of being SWATed. If someone calls and reports a crime in progress that would normally get the SWAT team called to the house of one of these people, they attempt to contact the person first to confirm whether or not they actually need help. It’s not a perfect system,

The proper thing to do is dump the daytime talk show formula altogether and air reruns of Rocky & Bullwinkle in its place.

The fact that Girl Scouts is still affiliated with him in any way, more than four years after he bragged about grabbing women by the pussy, is the larger problem. But better late than never, I suppose.

My first thought was about why anybody would let Trump have even indirect access to actual Girl Scouts, but your point is very valid, too.

and tenants, including the Girl Scouts of Greater New York, are trying to end their leases in his towers.

Reaction from parents and conservative media will be a large factor in deciphering whether the cultural pendulum has indeed shifted enough so that a popular child celebrity coming out elicits little more than a shrug in response.”
