You know who tells racist jokes? A slew of hilarious comedians. Like, a litany of them. It is possible for a joke to be racial, or racist, funny, and the speaker to not be. I don't understand why this is so impossible to grasp.

Because we are a lazy and reflexive society. When we need to dig deep or think hard to recognize racism or hatred or bigotry, we never notice it. When someone utters a naughty word, but has a history bereft of racist or bigoted actions, we crucify them.
