I really dislike the design of this EV. I think it cribs too much from existing vehicles, and it’s going to look dated when it eventually gets released.

Yep, this happens fairly often. Deer will run right into the sides of cars. I guess once they start running in a given direction, they don’t want to stop.

For better or worse, those C-pillar contrasting paint sections have become a telltale visual cue for EVs. I don’t know who used it first, but just about all of the newer EVs other than Tesla have it.
