I never understood flareside beds. In general I’ve heard its for people who don’t want the wheel wells in their box area but it’s not like the wheels went anywhere, they just made the box smaller. The only truck I can think of that really wears it well style wise is an early 90s F150. Ranger is not bad but not great.

Aw man, you’ve got a lot to learn about wealthy white entitlement!

While I generally find the “all gentrification is evil” narrative pretty limited, to me this is just called: Do Your Research. Figure out what happens in a neighborhood, decide whether or not you’d be happy to live there, and then sign your lease accordingly. Don’t show up and mess with the lives of the people who

A: GET VACCINATED

B: Return to at least some level of a halfway “normal” life.

C: See my parents for the first time in 14 months

D: See friends whom I haven’t seen in a year

E: Don’t be terrified of going to the grocery store

F: Pull out my 1955 Mercury and drive all over the place

G: Take a solid, 2 week vacation, Ideally

Hmm. road trip.

If his kid sees this, hopefully he starts planning now for that far-flung grad school opportunity. There are some great programs at U Alaska Fairbanks...

As I was reading the request, I think my expression slowly changed to this:

The Romans preferred to dangle a winged dick, known as a fascinus, from their chariots and carriages.

If this is a Pompeian Lamborghini, I’d like to see the Pompeian Ferrari from Vesuvius Chariots that set the whole place on fire.

I think that part of this is that - through experience - humans have learned to pick out signs of a bad/aggressive driver. If I see a moron driving like that rushing up on me, I’d probably move out of the lane if I had time or I would ease off the gas/tap the brakes when he goes to cut me off. Because I can see his

My niece once owned a Compass, so I can say with authority.

Have you never just been “done” with a car? I don’t fault a seller for an unwillingness to fix anything, no matter how trivial, on a ~$2k car. I’m certain that there are hundreds of “cheap and easy” fixes a car at this price needs, and you have to draw the line somewhere.

$35 part he didn’t replace even though its simple/cheap = Instant No Dice

If I could buy that and get an additional 10-15K miles out of it before things start falling like dominos, Like using it on the weekends to go hunting, or a trip to the lake for camping in the summer. And the occasional trip to Lowes or our lumber yard. It would last me a good 3-5 years and would be money well spent.

Period-correct cheesy sunroof, please!   NP!

As a long-time pickup owner, No Dice. It’s overpriced for what it is and that asking price will get me something nicer and newer with fewer miles. I sold my 2005 Silverado Club Cab with 198K on the clock and very well maintained, for $5K a little over a year ago. It’s still out there piling up the miles.

I’m one of the NP’ers. The price is market accurate and that’s how I vote. If you want an NSX, it’s gonna cost you roughly $120k. There were a few that are a few grand cheaper, but all NSX’s are within 5% of $120k or higher.

There are three phases of “dream car ownership” for men.

I have absolutely no way to call this one with any degree of serious objectivity. I don’t think I could even start this car, let alone drive it properly.
