I’m always amazed at the number of Mazda B2000's and Nissan hardbodies that are still running around.

Y’all need to spend more time in small towns on the West Coast. There are tons of old, “rare” (by east coast standards) cars puttering around out here. When you only need to drive 5-6 miles a day, a cheap beater does the job just fine.
I almost bought a Legacy GT exactly like this one (but with lower miles) 4 years ago. Asking price then was $8995 and I just couldn’t do it. Makes me sad to say it but this one should be more like $4995. Love this gen Legacy GT wagon though.
Weird Beard is incredibly hard to say! Props (sort of) to anyone who can pull that off in the middle of an argument. If I tried that, it’d come out like “Wired Bird” or something stupid and I’d feel like the dick I was probably being and die of embarrassment on the spot.
This is definitely a case of, would I buy this truck at that price? Nope. Would someone? Yup. Therefore, NP.
I’m guessing you mean the 5 speed auto, not a 5 speed stick. The 3.6R was never offered with a stick and neither was the 3.0R. The XT6 was offered with the 2.7 H6 and a 5 speed stick but the 6 cylinder Outbacks never were.
That front end reminds me of an elephant seal.
CP for a 15 year old vehicle with 160k miles. Drop the price to $5k and we’re more in the ball park. And - those are some stupid looking rims.
That’s actually my dream - to start a business providing reproduction trim pieces that are 3d printed from originals.
The one thing diving into an 80s Japanese restoration is all the plastic interior bits. Faded, cracked, warped interior trim. Not sure how to tackle that. I’m the kind of person who would prefer a car to look totally stock.
“That son of a bitch would freeze up in the middle of the summer on the equator."
I’ll give you $15k for it.
It’s not the actual age of the car but other people’s perception of how old it is. I can be doing 10+ over the speed limit in my ‘98 Outback and people still do everything they can to get around me. Especially on hills (even though my car can keep up, no problem). I can see the folks behind me queuing up to pass me as…
I want a UAZ van so bad.
I’m guessing he started st $8500 and when it didn’t sell at that price, he dropped it to $8100. Oh - I hate dropped Foresters. And I hate colored rims. Everything about this Forester looks stupid. CP.
I’m gonna guess the owner bought it new off the showroom floor and was super proud that he’d bought the “top of the line” Taurus. He probably thinks it’s a great looking car with a rare package. I’m sure he’s super proud of it and is just as sure that everyone agrees with him. Well, my friend, welcome to NPCP. The 2nd…
I worked at a naval air station for about 8 years. It always amazed me that the pilots mostly just drove the same cars as everyone else. Camries, Accords, Jettas. A goodly number drove cheap little economy cars. When you’re deployed for several months of the year, why pay for something fancy and expensive when it’s…
I had no idea they were called time out dolls. I’ve always hated them, now I want to burn them all to the ground.
It needs to be said - these were not great cars. Prone to rollover and rust. My husband had an ‘85 Bronco II. It liked to overheat. After the second time it caught fire, he decided to walk away from it. There’s some nostalgia for these things nowadays but they suck.
It’s, “make like a baby and head out.”
