I’d actually been saving up for a new computer for a few years, and the combination of a raise, the stimulus check, not eating out as much, and quitting drinking suddenly made this very reasonable this year (and made me realize that a few lifestyle changes could’ve made this reasonable much sooner).

I don’t think my backlog was nearly as bad as some Steam hoarders, but at one point a couple years ago I looked up at my 90-ish unfinished games on Steam and said, “This shit ends now.”
