This was one of the many things that really soured me to the D3 experience. I excitedly got it for PC, then even console to play with some friends. Problems include:

Oddly enough, this is a popular opinion among some of my college buds. I am the odd one out in my opinion that FF8 was the weakest amongst PS1/PS2 Final Fantasies. They feel so strongly about it, I began to even question my own feelings on the subject. I even replayed it again a few years back to see if my initial

Yeah, I guess I can see that explanation...It’s just, we start with him, always have him, and played several hours before getting to the “REAL” characters. Most Final Fantasies (VI excluded) seemed to start with the main character and maintained the story swirling around that main character. It was just odd and fairly

Agreed. I still like to pronounce things in her cool accent just for fun. “Wood” is now forever “Wuut”.

Right!? Seriously, Vaan had such VERY little reason to be a part of this story. His only motivation was his brother was killed...and somehow Vaan “knew” it was Basch? Don’t get me started on Panelo...who’s own character description simply says “Vaan’s friend”.

YES! I appreciate the Uncharted reference...I coincidentally (and finally) beat Uncharted 4 last night. Sheesh, what a fantastic game made by a fantastic company...and ending it with some old school Crash Bandicoot was icing on the awesome-cake!

Another giant nerd like me?! I like the cut of your jib, Tygore!

I think Kingdom Hearts...or maybe it was Kingdom Hearts II already did so.

Oooooooh, man! Those are classics! You just made my day, Bertoli!

Shocking, right, how BORING heaven was. I was actually pretty pumped at that point to see something new and possibly impressive.

For me, D2 is still leagues better than D3, not just because of the cool locals and character-building, but the STORY! My god, D3's story is something I’d expect one of my 7th graders to produce. “I’m the Lord of Lies...you’ll NEVER guess I’d disguise myself as a boy king...” No, D3, I guessed that painfully RIGHT

When I first heard about this, I dismissed it as “it’ll probably suck”...Now, after watching the trailer - heck, even just after watching the gif - I think...

Same here. My rule is: If you’re doing your work, taking notes, and not just staring at the spinner, have at it. It’s spreading like wildfire though, and as soon as one makes noise or vibrates along a desk top, I YOINK it away, then poke fun at them all by attempting to teach with a spinner in my hand.

CORRECT! I could get to the 2nd to the last level almost easily as a kid, but that stupid rolly-ball level always kicked my rear. I never beat it till emulation and save states, and when I finally tackled that last level tower, I just kept thinking: NO WAY...this game wants me to CRY!

Yeah, this MM wasn’t the hardest for me. 1-4 were pretty standard for young me, as I beat them all on the second day I rented it from the local video store. I’d say the hardest were 6 or 7, mostly because they were way more boring to slog through.

This is truly one of the classic HARD games of the NES. I even brought this game to school to challenge my middle-schoolers to attempt to even finish a single level 2-2...I promised them a reduced assignment, or something like that, to inspire them. No one could do it, but dang if they didn’t try and BOY oh BOY did

Yeah, that was the only one I never got to beat as a kid. I could always get to the last level, but then my continues would run out. Pretty brutal, considering the 1st and 2nd installment had those unlimited continues for the stubborn (like me).

Huh, no love for Tekken Tag 2, or any other Tekken besides the newest? Weird. I thought the Tekken series as a whole was much bigger/more beloved. Guess I was wrong...quite wrong based off that list.

I laughed at Penny Arcade...an actual out loud single “ha”. After so many “meh”’s along with my longing for the “good ol’ days” of Penny Arcade, they come out of left field and pop me one in the funny bone.
