When I first heard about this, I dismissed it as “it’ll probably suck”...Now, after watching the trailer - heck, even just after watching the gif - I think...

Same here. My rule is: If you’re doing your work, taking notes, and not just staring at the spinner, have at it. It’s spreading like wildfire though, and as soon as one makes noise or vibrates along a desk top, I YOINK it away, then poke fun at them all by attempting to teach with a spinner in my hand.
CORRECT! I could get to the 2nd to the last level almost easily as a kid, but that stupid rolly-ball level always kicked my rear. I never beat it till emulation and save states, and when I finally tackled that last level tower, I just kept thinking: NO WAY...this game wants me to CRY!
Yeah, this MM wasn’t the hardest for me. 1-4 were pretty standard for young me, as I beat them all on the second day I rented it from the local video store. I’d say the hardest were 6 or 7, mostly because they were way more boring to slog through.
This is truly one of the classic HARD games of the NES. I even brought this game to school to challenge my middle-schoolers to attempt to even finish a single level 2-2...I promised them a reduced assignment, or something like that, to inspire them. No one could do it, but dang if they didn’t try and BOY oh BOY did…
Yeah, that was the only one I never got to beat as a kid. I could always get to the last level, but then my continues would run out. Pretty brutal, considering the 1st and 2nd installment had those unlimited continues for the stubborn (like me).
Huh, no love for Tekken Tag 2, or any other Tekken besides the newest? Weird. I thought the Tekken series as a whole was much bigger/more beloved. Guess I was wrong...quite wrong based off that list.
I laughed at Penny Arcade...an actual out loud single “ha”. After so many “meh”’s along with my longing for the “good ol’ days” of Penny Arcade, they come out of left field and pop me one in the funny bone.
Agreed, though the 3rd panel made her look “sleepy” instead of “lovey”, the heart being the only clue to the contrary of sleepy looking...
Weird. I must be in a minority when it comes to controllers. I grew up with NES, SNES, then found the N64's a bit off-putting. Presto, here came the PS1, PS2 and PS3 with what I felt was the perfect controller (once the dualshock hit the PS1, of course).
I actually laughed out loud at that one. Always appreciate some good ol’ Zorg, one of the greatest bad guys we love because he’s so good at being bad!
Yes, I was curious to see if I was the only one that kinda PREFERRED the older style. I mean, it’s just so much less distracting. They look...more human. Less hair and TEETH.
General Leo truly does live...uh, 4 times? Well, Realm truly is the most powerful character. She can rend time and space through a paint brush. Truly frightening!
Are you saying then that I should seek out Sonic 2 or 3 for the “true” Sonic experience?
EPIC!
I too am a slave to my own sense of nostalgia, and thanks to that I’ve recently been playing quite a few old games (partially in an effort to see if I still have the old school skills I did as a kid).
So...*cough*...is it weird that I’ve never played a sonic game, with the exception of 3 minutes on a Toys R Us demo until just last night? My long anti-sonicness came to an end after a really nice student of mine wanted to see me make another silly youtube video of old school games.
Shouldn’t the headline be changed to: Sportsmanship died long ago, this is how competition is now. Bad winners, sore losers, etc, whilest everyone forgets that all these sports, all these games and competitions between teams and individuals are still just that: games.
Ah, mayhaps that’s why I kept seeing them for the price of the Switch, as I saw the Wii-U in bundle-form. Though isn’t the 8gb Wii-U horribly inadequate in size? And, I do get the added games and such, but that still seems a sad excuse for the high price. I can still get a PS4 or Xbone with sometimes 3 games for less…
Well, I’ve got to admit, this is kind of disappointing. Maybe I’ve been spoiled by my PS4, but I was kind of hoping the Switch was going to bring a bit more of a significant jump in power, though this could be game optimization issues. Still, it’s VERY reminiscent of the Gamecube to Wii jump, as in not much of a jump…
