Water isn’t blue, it’s clear. Just reflects more blue light.

It’s a different shade of green every other day.

...says the guy who’s never seen the Chicago River.

but the Superbowl Shuffle makes it almost worth it

Well the key detail here is that the White Sox have a recent WS win with a team that was far more dominant than this Cubs team in the playoffs. So we still get to feel a little superiority in that regard, when in reality, we are in so much fucking trouble.

“But in truth, there is no curse more regrettable than becoming the Boston of the Midwest.”

I think Jalopnik crashed it, I got this message:

If you think predicting 105 wins is reasonable, you don’t know baseball as well as you think you do.
If you think the Red Sox with more young talent aren’t coming for the Indians, you’re not paying attention.
If you think the Yankees, with slightly less young talent, but a TON of bad money coming off the books aren’t

As a White Sox fan, go shit yourself, you emotionless fuckstain.

It would have been 86 years but your fucking cheapskate owner and a bunch of graft-hungry players nearly killed the game by throwing the Series.

Hey bud, from all of us here at the Deadspin comment section, go fuck yourself.

Cleveland could experience the greatest comeback in NBA finals history, one of the greatest collapses in World Series history, and the Browns going 0-16. That’s a hell of a year.

You must be delightful company during this election season

You forgot one:

As an Indians fan, I’m crushed. As a baseball fan...damn that was a game.

Theo Epstein said he’d turn the franchise around in 5 years, and in 5 years he’s got them winning the World Series. And he just put himself into the Hall of Fame.

WOWWIE. Congrats Cubs fans. THAT WAS ONE HELL OF A GAME 7!!! Also- Theo Epstein broke the Red Sox curse in ‘04 AND the Cubs curse. Holy shit. One of the best executives the game’s ever seen.

Some perspective on how historic this is:

It doesn’t matter if you duck to the inside under braking, or lock ‘em up and slide across the apex, a pass is a pass.

Leave it to the Bears to win a game that only pushes them further out of good draft position and simultaneously gives the Packers a better shot at winning the division lol...
