no, you're thinking of Knox's PR campaign.

I feel weird here because you are genuinely one of my fave commenters, but the evidence and trial was NOT based solely on the fact that she lacks affect the next day. There was a lot more to it than that.
thank you! I feel like Jezebel commenters are way misinformed on this one. I guess the jokes on them in ten years when a real documentary examines the evidence and people realize she's guilty just like with Robert Durst.
My thought as well. The numbers of unsolved murders and "disappearances" indicate this sort of thing happens more often than the police realize. It's quite possibly simply the first time he was caught.
For the record: there is, and always has been plenty of evidence of A.K's guilt.

Or the only body they found and tied to him.
What disturbs me and absolutely fucking ANGERS me about this whole shitshow was that had she been average looking, nay, ugly even, not one single person would give a fuck. It would've come and gone and gotten zero coverage.
and apparently he qualifies for day release whatever the hell that means. WTF with this case.
I'm not saying she's guilty, but she didn't exactly help her case with the whole "I'm just a naive American student who thinks doing cartwheels and saying weird shit to police is what ANYONE would have done." No, not really. If it was my roommate, I'd be sobbing to learn of her murder, even if I didn't like her all…
Did anyone else read her book? I agree that this entire case was handled terribly, but I got the weirdest vibes from her. Her general sort of creepy detachment from everything that wasn't working and making money really skeeved me (also her total lack of interest in anything besides Harry Potter?), and even though I…
She's such a pathological liar it'll never be possible to know exactly what happened, but my gut feeling is she got away with something criminal. Murder? Maybe...maybe not, but certainly perjury. She's a sneaky one, that Amanda Knox. She got the crazy eyes.
"I'm a married man, I don't do that kind of stuff".
The only thing I thought of when reading this is there is no way this was his first time abusing women. This was just the one that ended in murder.
And that is a HUGE wound too. 11 cm DIAMETER!? I feel so stupid because it doesn't change anything, but in my head I thought "I hope that detail is wrong and they mean 11 cm long."
The medical examiner for Alberta brought Gladue's preserved vagina into the courtroom to show the jury
This is beyond rape culture. This is the Twilight Zone levels of hate culture. And does it not occur to these people that this means that a man who stabs a woman so brutally is wandering around free to kill again?
Yeah...so completely guilty.
To be honest, most sports guys (being a sports guy myself) are pretty bad. Mostly because very very few of us would stand up and say something at the risk setting ourselves apart (kind of the "at least they're not harassing me" defense. We may not participate or agree with it, but the silence is just as big a part of…
Well, I'm super glad that you had a good experience. I guess that's all that matters- not the other non-Rugby playing women who had to contend with a misogynistic environment that you helped to foster. Fuck those bitches, amirite?
As covered elsewhere in the piece though - offensive rugby songs isn't really a "few bad apples" thing. I hung out with a rugger house in college (back in my "cool girl" phase - ugh) and remember these songs pretty clearly. If the other members had been there, it's pretty damn unlikely they would have crossed their…
