This week's episode was laugh out loud funny. It got a B- and will be maligned by the hundreds who 'haven't watched in years.' There was a long Doctor Doolittle sketch that was hilarious but unnecessary, but there were great lines in Cue Detective for those who can manage to watch new episodes without bias.

I can't believe they are forcing you to watch. It's unconscionable that it's available with the millions of other choices at your fingertips.

The other attorney is Kumail Nanjiani who I thought was the real star of Silicon Valley. His lines were great, "you can't touch the judge" when Rob Lowe was making his closing argument, and she of course, "I'll allow it." I only wonder if Idaho is a good pick for the setting.

I'm just happy the show is still on. The old episodes on FXX are better, but I enjoy watching new ones with my kids. I don't want to pay $50 to hear new Wilco, Morrisey or Tragically Hip songs. But I don't see how new Simpsons episodes are such an atrocity.

It's an episode I'll forget about, but still a B. These comments are about as interesting as the Saturday Night Live, Dennis Leary and Amy Schumer ones. Same 3-4 complaints no matter what the episode is.

Have they done it, again?

Your dead celebrity joke doesn't include Phil Hartman? Did you forget him or realize what an unfunny asshole you were being while you were typing?

For me, it's Bad Blood. It's listenable here, but still not good. Even Style sounds good. This could be a soundtrack. If something could be a hit, I'd go for Wildest Dreams or Welcome to New York. Those two are standouts, although I'm liking more and more songs. The Smiths thing really was an instant turnoff. There's

1985 was really the bitter end for radio. When Radio came out in 1991, I could totally relate to it.
The world is collapsing
Around our ears
I turned up the radio
But I can't hear it
I tried to sing along
But damn that radio song

It's just Bruce Springsteen especially on Welcome to New York and Shake It Off. It's really interesting to listen to, but I don't get the Smiths. I can't see going back to listen to the originals - particularly Bad Blood, which is just awful on the original record. The Ryan Adams versions run parallel to the original.

If you're looking for the place where gents complain girls aren't funny, click "TV club." above. But be careful not to mention Dennis Leary when you're quoting Seinfeld lines.

Kris Jenner has lost clean to Caitlyn Jenner twice in a row. Caitlyn has looked better in a couple dresses than her ex-wife.

lost clean? This is on E! not ESPN

When she sold a quarter of all the music sold in a week and defined pop music for the year, that was when people were calling her a recording artist.

It seems to be a little hit or miss. Welcome to New York sounds great, but Blank Space and I Know Places aren't what I expected. I don't get the Smiths at all, but it's funny to even suggest it. I'd love to know if Morrisey hates it as much as my 10-year-old daughter who can play most of 1989 is going to. She is going

What upsets me is two or three people send out a press release, and it gets reported and they get what they wanted, which is attention for themselves.

I ran into Tony Bennett on the Upper West Side on a Sunday morning and asked him to sign my law textbook. I love Tony Bennett, but that was embarrassing. I did manage not to bother Lou Reed (he was in a housecoat in the elevator at my gym) and Alec Baldwin at Equinox (it was post-Polly, and I really should have).

Did Pablo Neruda say, "I love obvious jokes that have been done to death"? Jim Gaffigan's show is funny in case you need a reminder what funny looks like.

Was there a Sire Records studio on the west side? It was a white stucco building with a black sign. I'm blanking on what street it was on.

Helen Mirren has been the sole reason to watch this (for the first couple minutes, and then forward it to the credits).
