No, you use the analog sticks actually. I’m not sure if this game actually supports any motion controls, surprisingly.

Catherine is absolutely one of my favorite games ever, and the fact that it isn’t natively playable on any current systems is a tragedy.

My New 3DS XL is always at 100% 3D, just like my previous 3DS systems...yet I don’t see it as an essential feature.

You can turn off Smart Steering (and Auto Boost) on the Kart select screen. The Pause menu isn’t the only time you can change that. :)

Yeah, I didn’t find anything when I googled either. I haven’t seriously collected since like 2001 (but I have bought random packs here and there...), but I’ve never seen an Enflamed either.
