It never ceases to amaze me how people can try to “stand up to something” and “prove them wrong” by acting in the exact way they are being accused of. “Women are claiming we harass them, I’ll show them through, oh I know, a campaign of harassment. That’ll prove my point, I’m a freakin genius!”

Thank you for posting this. My kid is 5 and didn’t make it into preschool last year and everyone has been up my ass about it and insisting he’ll be behind when he starts kindergarten this year 😡.

Preschool is something most middle class white families think you absolutely must do or your child will be a failure. I felt that way and enrolled my very young 3 year old son in a church based program. He hated it - every T/Th he’d ask me if he had to go to preschool today. After 3 months I finally listened to him…

And...that’s awful. Kids are expensive.
