I try not to be cynical, really I do, but every time someone comes out to great fanfare and attention, I get a case of the eye-rolls. Which is is unfair if they're sincere, I know.

Well, thank God. "Friends" leads to him or her thinking it's okay to spend the night. Which leads to someone expecting breakfast. Then someone leaves a toothbrush. Then someone is upset if you don't talk every day. Then someone has something hanging in your closet. And that leads to 'the talk' which is no fun.

I think he's a little optimistic, but things have changed.
